PCI-E and AGP
OK, I am in college and havn't had the time to keep my system up to date...nor the money which is still the case.

My dad just upgraded and gave me his old AMD 64 3700+ and a gig of ram. My old Abit NF7 3200+ combo now is begging to be replaced... but my card is an 8x AGP Geforece 6600.

I want to be prepared for the DX10 jump, so do they make AGP/PCI-E boards? Or am I just going to be stuck waiting?

They do make those boards, but in your situation I would probably suggest just waiting a couple months for more DX10 cards to come out. Having an AGP slot that you won't use after a few months seems like a waste. There are some cheaper PCI-E cards you could buy, but if your current system could get by for a few more months, I would hold off. Just my two cents, cause that's basically what I'm doing (albeit with a brand new system).
